Chapter 3: Rights and responsibilities

CASE 1: CARE FOR WOUNDED ENEMIES

Transcriptions

One of the insurgents, the worst injured, goes into surgery immediately, where many units of blood are used.
The blood supply is running out just when five other seriously wounded people are brought in.
The doctors decided to take care of the person who was wounded most seriously, even though he had been violating the law before being wounded.
In so doing, they used up most of the blood supplies, risking not having enough for other patients.
Was it the right decision to make?
