Chapter 3: Rights and responsibilities
CASE 1: CARE FOR WOUNDED ENEMIES
Transcriptions
Tikrit, Iraq, 2007: With almost no warning, three helicopters evacuating wounded persons touch down at Camp Speicher near Tikrit.
The US medical staff, who are military reservists, determine that four men, all Iraqis, are hurt badly. Two of the Iraqis were seen placing a bomb at the side of a road.
It turns out the other two Iraqis were bystanders, caught in the middle when an American helicopter opened fire on the insurgents.
What would you do if you were one of the US medical staff?
